            Kotamgaon devi mandir is one of the best place to visit in yeola and best place to visit in Maharashtra. the mandir is developed by government and beautifully maintained by trust.

          The mandir is dedicated to jagdamba devi with three faces of mahakali, mahalakshmi and mahasaraswati. in old times the murti was made of soil but the pujari covered it with shendur and gave it finishing and so that the todays faces was made.

recently the mandir was developed by government officials and whole area and gabhara is coverd and decorated with beautiful tiles. 

        There is a big festival of navratri is celebrated in mandir premices. people belive that the devi completes the wishes and prays of the devotees thousands of devotees come here and get darshan of maa jagdamba devi. Aarti of godess of kotamgaon is performed daily at 8 am & 8pm . On navratri however they perform aarti of the godess only at nine-o-clock at night. Panchamitra is offered to godess everyday. On full moon day offrings of purnvarna are made to godess. Apart from navratra, a large number of devotees also cme to see the godess on normal days . it also have more number of devotees are there on Tuesdays and Fridays. apart from navratri , gudipadva is filled with large procession of the godess of kotamgaon.

    there was mahasati vrunda and his husband who is king of demons named jalindar. With powerful worship of mahasati vrunda , jalindar never failed a single war. as a result he planned to attack devloka to conquer and become king of three loka. all the gods goes to  lord Vishnu to seek help to defeat jalindar. lord Vishnu comes to know that the reason of not failure is vrunda’s powerful worship. lord Vishnu cracked the solution and demolished the worship. As a result daityaraj jalindar defeted and god kill him. vrunda realized that lord vishnu demolished the worship an cursed him to be a rock. and lord Vishnu become rock at kotamgaon, yeola, nashik

            mahalakshmi, mahasaraswati, and mahakali begun to search shrivishnu and they found him at kotamgaon in rock form. they found solution to make them free and settled there in thr form of raja, tama, and satva form. and got found by a local farmer.                           (source internet)

the mandir was renovated in 19th century and recently developed by the trust and government authorities and you should visit the mandir once.
